Message from the Director
March 13, 2020
Dear Riverside Montessori Academy Parents and Guardians,
Your safety remains our highest priority. Although only a few confirmed cases of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in Riverside County, we are dealing with a public health crisis the magnitude of which none of us could have reasonably anticipated. We are all in uncharted waters as we work together to prevent the spread of the illness, and it has become clear that the appropriate path is to temporarily close schools to protect staff and students. It is important to note that there have been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 at either of our Riverside Montessori Academy locations.
With the surrounding school district closures, RUSD and LAUSD to name a few, we recognize that we must take appropriate measures to do our part in containing the potential spread of the virus within our communities. We will suspend in-class instruction, all school activities and childcare, effective March 16, 2020 through Friday, April 3, 2020. A decision about resuming our regular or a modified school schedule will be announced based on circumstances as they develop. We will inform parents if we are able to resume in-class instruction prior to April 3rd.
Optional distance learning education will be available for all students in order to sustain learning and growing during this temporary school closure. Teachers will be providing independent lessons in language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. Packets will be available for pick up on school site on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 from 12pm to 5pm from your child’s class teacher.
We understand the closing of any school has real consequences beyond the loss of instructional time. We thank you for your patience as we work together to proactively maintain a healthy and protective environment for our children during these difficult times. We will continue to remain in constant contact with Riverside County schools and local health officials about the most current developments. We will continue to keep you updated through the Remind Messaging App to help parents stay connected with our school.
Thank you for your continued patience during this unprecedented time. Further information will be forthcoming as we receive it.
With thanks,
Dr. A. Chandrapala, Executive Director

TESTIMONIALS
The staff is extremely dedicated, caring and devoted to the children's education. My child comes home having learned something new every day! Can't say enough good things about the education they provide and the extra activities (for extra cost) that they provide swimming, dance, music...I recommend it without reservations.

Amazing Curriculum Instruction especially strong in the areas of reading instruction and mathematical concepts. Strong, yet supportive discipline procedures. Fostering of different creative outlets such as art, dance, and language. Students are also exposed to different types of extracurricular activities such as swimming, computers. They are taught problem solving skills, cultural awareness, and are strongly encouraged to be self motivated. There is also a lot of assessment of the children, a lot of small group and one on one instruction. I went there myself and loved it. My daughter now attends...I am extremely happy with her progress.
